International Comic Con July 14th-17th

Every year Comic Con is held at the giant convention center in San Diego, California. I never miss it!

I'll be there all four days this year, I've never been able to go for the whole time, but this year I'll be able to. It's very exciting!

So Many Cons, So Little Time

I never knew there were so many cons.

Yep. There's a convention -- usually several -- nearly every weekend of the year. There are lots of convention listings out there. One of those I've bookmarked is the SF-Lovers Convention List.

I'll probably be dropping in on Further Confusion 2005 here in the San Francisco Bay Area this weekend, myself.

I'll probably be dropping in on Further Confusion 2005 here in the San Francisco Bay Area this weekend, myself.

As it happened, I wasn't able to drop in on FurCon after all, because a hot project came up at my real job and I found myself working very long hours through the entire weekend in order to get it done.

The bright side of this, however, is that my director was sufficiently impressed with my dedication (she was working there, too) that she's allowing me enough extra time off that I can attend the Interaction Worldcon planning meeting, ConStruction IV, coming up Feburary 4-6 in Glasgow. I'll say more about this in the Worldcon topic.
