Hallooo.. I did search for related topics which answered a couple questions but I still have some so sorry for possible undetected redundancy...

Winter has been coming for quite some time approx. 2/3 years since the beginning of AGoT. Is it expected that around the time of Dany's invasion the full force will hit (ice and fire?) ? And the seasons last about a decade? So will the next two books along with most of the last will be set for around 10 years coming up to the beginning of the next spring?

I've been wondering about the future and future power of the younger characters. Does anyone else predict that Rickon is going to be dangerous ?

I think the length of the seasons is pretty much random. Any particular season could last a few months or a decade. The summer that starts the series has lasted a decade, right? Someone else will have to confirm this but I think I remember a mention of a winter that lasted something like 14 years. Anyway, you never know. It would make sense for this coming winter and the 6/7th books to cover many years, especially if Martin wants to make younger chacters like Rickon important. Dany's rule in Meereen is going to last a few years. Then maybe it'll take another couple of years just to get her army over to Westeros. Throw in a couple of more years for any and all delays caused by political intrigue, and you've got 8 years of time to eat up over the last two books. That's just an extremely rough estimate though so don't yell at me too much :).

I think Rickon is going to be reckless. But let's hope I'm wrong. Dangerous is better than reckless.

I'm not sure how much time GRRM will allow to pass for the major characters. Originally, it was planned to have a 5yr time jump between ASoS and AFfC but he couldn't make it work. I can't see there being more than about 5 years passing before the series ends so i wouldn't count on warrior Rickon coming to save the day, though his wolf may prove important somehow.

But hey, the only guy who knows for sure is typing away in Santa Fe (hopefully) :)
