Hello there

I'm very new to all this but love the idea of all these bookies chatting about their favourite books! Fab! I though it was just me that was so involved in my books!
Anyway, the book I'm searching for was the first of a trilogy that I got from the Library about 7-8 years ago about a postwar scenario based in California I think and the rest of America was under seige from machines and mining and general nastiness, but the community were really green, really right on and had utilsed all sorts of wonderful basic technologies to grow food and irrigate the land whilst living in these shared community houses.

Does this ring any bells for anyone?

I'd be so grateful if it did!!

PS how do I get a picture like all you guys?
 
I'm not sure about the title of the book, although it does sound familiar. As for a picture, you go into the User CP menu along the top bar and then select Edit Avatar. From there, you can either use one of the forum's own avatars, or choose one of your own. Hope that helps!:) And sorry I couldn't be of more help about the book.
