Hi all,

I just found this site. I'm so happy to have found you and hope you can help. I have been trying to find two books that I read many years ago when I was very young, for which I have neither title nor author. The first is about water that becomes solid. It happened very slowly and they were trying to find a fix as river by river were affected. I loved the book then but can't remember much at all except this fragment. It is not Vonnegut or Ice Nine. Can anyone help?

The second has sort of walls in space that separate time periods. The shift can be over thousand of years. Anyone?

thanks--

Hello, and welcome to Chronicles. Well, I'm afraid I can't help you with this (though the first does sound familiar), but I'm moving the thread to Book Searches, where you're more likely to garner a helpful response....

Thanks for the welcome and thanks very much for the info. I didn't realize that there was a specific place. I posted very quickly on my way out the door. I will spend some time now to investigate the site more fully. Appreciate the move.

I don't know about the first book but the second might be Time Storm by Gordon Dickson.

The Earth has been overtaken by time storms and as each one passes the land left behind is changed to anything from prehistoric to the far future. It reads as a post-apocalypse story with the main character attempting to find the cause and stop the storms.

Thanks so much. I think that might be it. At least it gives me something to try. I appreciate the reply very much.
