I too saw this series on amazon and thought it looked pretty interesting. I'll be eager to see any reviews people submit about it.

I've got this series and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a dark fantasy I would say based on a world were the people aquire a coloured jewel depending on their natural magical tallents. The darker the jewel the more powerful their abilities. The series is based around a couple of brothers who are in slave service to witches. Most of the series is about the enslavement of men who are used for breeding purposes and protection of the female witches.
And there is a witch to be born who will be more powerful than any before her who will free the enslaved.

It's an interesting series and though the story starts with this special witch as a youngster the plot line doesnt shy away from a mature theme
