And now, if you'll excuse me, I'm just going to run away to a corner where I can sit down and pinch myself!

Pretty good going, Ian. Two stories and the artwork shortlisted from your anthology, plus one of your own stories as well. Congrats.

Yup, buying votes certainly works. Just ask George W Bush :)

No, somehow I've managed to get this far on... now what's that word...? Not merit... luck! Yes, that's it, luck!

But I've got a feeling that if I want to go any further, bribery might have to be a factor.

Looks like I'll be buying one heck of a big round at Eastercon!

Im alittle sad that Vance story didnt make in retro award.

But also glad for Richard Morgan.

Its also alittle funny that books i found out about and wanted to read randomly or cause hearing people hype in these forums way before this award nomination is in the short list for best novel.Only Alice in Sunderland, The Execution Channel i havent read or planned to read.

Brasyl i have already read parts of, Black Man i have planned a long time to get.

The Prefect
and The Yiddish Policemen’s i checked out not long in fantasticfiction sounded interesting enough to get.
