Expert advice needed...If you were making the ultimate video to introduce graphic novels to newbies, what would your theme song be?

Macho Man. (The only remotely serious answer you'll get out of me today is... something punk.)

The question's rather a broad one- I don't think there's a perfect song for the entire sum total of graphic novels/comics. Do you mean graphic novels, or comics in general? Because they have somewhat different audiences.

Really it's up to you.:) What's the video for, if I may ask?

(And welcome to the Chrons!)

And yes, I am an expert. Because what I say goes.:D

The other big question is what kind of graphic novel? What genre within - comics have a fairly standard format and understanding, but graphic novels have a broader range of genres - and different gernres work better with different forms of music.
Also, you don't want the music too good or dominating else its all the audience will pay attention to

Okay, I can be more specific. I'm a high school librarian, I just received a grant for $1000 worth of graphic anything. I went a little nuts and bought a very varied assortment. Bone, Gaiman, Eisner, Initial D, Rave Master, Dragon Master, Chronicles of the cursed sword, Persepolis, Deogratias, Jules Verne, American Born Chinese, Best of the Spirit, Batgirl, spiderman, Northwest passage, Road songs, Go with Grace, King, Star Trek. I'm just throwing out what I remember, there is a lot more. This is a small town school so I stayed conservative. Anything that proves too young for the HS will get passed down to the middle school.

Anyway, I want to make a video that says "Hey, graphic works are in your library". I plan to put it on Youtube. It needs to be clean and quirky. I'm capable of doing a slide format and have it look pretty nice. I have also approached a few students about doing the video for me assuming that students would be more interested in something made by a peer, but I have NO IDEA what they are capable of and if they can meet my deadline. (One week). So if my version comes to fruition it will be put out anonymously....if it is approved It could also show on internal TV announcement system (Brand new, not sure if it works yet)

Advice?

We do have a very popular teacher who can do a fair imitation of rap...we could write a rap for him to record...but that is starting to sound like a lot of work.
