What Characters Do You Hate?

I hate, hate, hate Miranda. There's just something about her that I want to scream at. I also never really liked Roo, he is such a sly, slippery *******.

Who else...?

I agree on your comment about Miranda. I found her selfish and terminally foul to read! I also didn't like Pug until I read Magician (I started on the Serpentwar Saga)

Well, I liked Roo very much - probably for the same reasons that some others dislike him; sharp, intelligent and never faiols to grok an opportunity when it arises and take advantage of it.

On the other hand, I don't like (or trust) Ralan in any way and I also don't like Kaspar. He may have changed somewhat, but deep within he's still a ruthless *******, and I don't particularly trust him either.

I'll have to think awhile about others.

i agree with main event, i don't like Roo either. slimy, slippery, supposedly intelligent, but still an absolute fool for thinking a beautiful woman could ever love a worm like him.

I have to agree with you Kulgan; I always have liked Roo mainly for his companionship to Erik: little and large

I have to say i liked Roo quite a bit=D

Two people off the top of my head i can think of that i don't really like are;

Miranda, you know what i'm talking about. Every time she comes up this is what I think "Oh great, its HER AGAIN"

Then Magnus, This might change after i read woamg, but right now i just dislike him, hes too powerful for the amount of back ground knowledge we have on him, and too me he just doesn't seem very likable as a character.

Gotta say I agree with the others, I enjoyed reading about Roo. He's got his charms, in a runtish sort of way

To be honest if I had to say I hated any Feist character that I love (yeah, I know..) it would have to have been Calis. His thing with Miranda, who I also dislike, troubles me. I mean, Pug's practically his Uncle, he should have more respect.

And I really didn't like Locklear. Total goon.

Grimblade, I'd thought I would just point out that the thing Calis had with Miranda started long before Miranda first encountered Pug.

I hated Roo's cousin Duncan.

Lets not get started on the evil b%£&~ everyone else seems to hate her as well. Talwin and Kaspar are amongst my least liked characters.

Hmmmm interesting one though, I'll have to think a little more.

How can anyone dislike Calis? That is just unfathomable.

I don't like Miranda, she is a fairly useless character. I didn't like Talwins servant/assassins whatever his name was (Almalfi).

I blame Miranda for Calis's continued interest when she was with Pug. It took her a while to tell him straight that she had chosen Pug over him. I got the impression that their (Miranda and Calis) relationship was never completely dissolved when she started with Pug. I don't think ex is the right term to discribe them... but that's only my opinion so I could easily be wrong

And Spazzed, I gotta agree with you about Magnus. I haven't read woamg yet either and I'm kinda hoping that either he proves me wrong in it or he learns a lesson or two and cops on. I hate that I dislike Pug's son so much!!!

Prince Patrick for me [ignoring the bad guys, Leso Varen is pretty annoying..].

I kind of like Miranda in contrast to the rest of you, she is certainly annoying in her way but she hints at a much more complex persona than some of the others do (Talon/Talwin for instance is downright dull at times). Much for the same reasons I like Kaspar.

Yeah, haspar is pretty god although slightly self-obsessive but I can deal with that.

Patrick was a £@#&$? but I could see why and he's young as a pie!

Miranda is what? over 100? you'd have thought she'd have learnt some small degree of tact, respect and wisdom.

Talwin is one of the worst Feist characters IMHO except for his love of a good meal. Go the gourmets!!

Magnus is the only one I can think of right now. The only characterization he has is "he'll someday outgrow Pug and Miranda in magical power", which is said about a hundred times throughout.

I have a love/hate relationship with "JimmyHand". I don't like that he's just a copy of the original Jimmy the Hand, but on the hand (no pun intended) he does seem to be a bit different. More brawl less brains. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Edit: oh, I forgot about Avery. He's the topdog in annoying characters imo. His story took up too much space for such an unimportant character and I didn't like how it was described. His character could've been good, though.

Ok, another one I think I replied to before the crash. I tend to agree with the people who dislike Miranda, for pretty much the same reasons. The others I don't really like include Talwin (although Talon wasn't too bad), Kaspar, and Duncan Avery.
