Departed nicked Tyrion line?

I think it's quite an old line, Centurion, and not original to GRRM...there used to be a photocopied sheet in the office where I once worked of Management Methods.
There was the Mushroom Method, as above, the Helicopter Method (fly around above the problem, making a lot of noise but contributing nothing), the Kipper Method (two faced and no guts), the Hedgehog Method (curl up in a spiky ball and wait for the problem to go away), and several others....

strange that they called it helicopter method - considering all the others are animal based I would have thought "fly method" might have been chosen!
though it might have suggested that a quick beating/swatting would kill of the fly
