Live aliens with wheels

I am seeking a short story published around 1960 in either Astounding or Galaxy which concerned a planet inhabited by intelligent but malevolent creatures which moved on their own wheels. One such creature was called "Jugger". I remember no details of the story, but it included line drawings of the creatures. I would like to refer to it in a lecture and perhaps crib an illustration.

Could it be somehow connected to Clifford Simak novel The Goblin Reservation ? It was first published in 1968.

Well, The Goblin Reservation originally appeared in Galaxy - in 1968 as Taltos said - in the April and June issues. The aliens were actually called Wheelers and were certainly malevolent.

The Wheelers are a race physically composed of two large wheels and suspended between them is an eggsac containing hives of bugs who make up the intelligence of the Wheelers.

I've seen the Simak book now and the wheelers were not ther creatures I remember - ut they'll serve. Thank you both.

There were creatures called juggers in the novel "The Dragon Masters" by Jack Vance but they were dinosaurs I think
