The chapter opens in the dungeons of the Dreadfort. A man is being held prisoner there. He remembers what happened Lady Hornwood (she ate her fingers), and he does not want to starve. He has been eating rats. There are other prisoners and some of them are women, who scream the most. Though they all scream. It's generally a terrible place.
There is the sound of footsteps and the man hopes they are not coming for him. But they do. It is Big and Little Walder Frey. They make fun of the man and ask him his name. The man cannot remember his name. They tell him he is Reek.
They lead him into the great hall of the Dreadfort. Ramsay is sitting in his father's chair. There are two lords with him. (Maybe you guys can help me identify them. ("One was gaunt, with flinty eyes, a long white beard and a face as hard as winter frost." [...] "The second lord was thin as well, but twisted where the first was straight. One of his shoulders was much higher than the other, and he stooped over his trencher like a vulture over carrion. His eyes were grey and greed, his teeth yellow, his forked bear a tangle of snow and silver." I think one of them might be a Karstark? What did theylook like?)
Ramsay is there. He is ugly. They taunt Reek. It's only at this point that Ramsay mentions the real Reek is dead. This man is "Stark's ward." (Theon.) Ramsay says he has been flayed in places. Theon is clearly afraid. He still refers to himself as Reek.
They see blood on his mouth and Theon admits he ate a rat. Ramsay says he's not allowed to eat the his Lord father's animals without his leave (like deer in a park). Theon gets very scared then and starts begging.
But then Ramsay changes tone, he says he's to be married to Arya Stark. Theon almost says, "Arya Underfoot." Ramsay then tells him that Reek is to serve Ramsay and help him fetch the bride.
That is the end of the chapter. But it's bad news for Jeyne Poole I think.
