I've just had confirmation from Simon & Schuster's Marketing team that they have commissioned an online game to help promote the Dragon Orb books. The game will be located on my website: Welcome to the Official Homepage of Mark Robson, Best-Selling Author of Fantasy Fiction for Young Adults There will also be prizes - very nice prizes! (I believe the top prize will be a laptop, but don't quote me on that just yet.) I expect it to go live around the end of June 08. Watch this space for more information. :)

All very exciting!

Sounds very exciting Mark! Not least the bit about the prizes :D . I look forward to hearing more...

Great, I've been wanting a Laptop for ages, oh and very cool Mark.

I'm sure I could find a use for one too Threddy!
I sense it isn't going to be very easy to win though...

lol Must promote the promotional game!

Threddy, i'm a cynic and a bit of a pessemist(sp?)- or at least I don't believe optomism is good a lot of the time.

ooh, flying a dragon! I wan't a go!
You don't happen to have a dragon spare do you :p tehe

Will clicking your mouse make the Dragon fly up?!!
I'm over excited I feel, but never mind!
Woohoo, Dragon Orb game, (and a free laptop!)

Any more information yet? Or will we have to force it out of you? tehe If we did that you wouldn't write us any more books...

Matt, I'm hoping to have the game up and running inside the next week. It's getting very exciting now, but I'm having to wait for information myself.

Slight delay to the launch - more like two weeks from now. :(

Sorry for getting the hopes up prematurely. Still, look on the bright side - two weeks is not long. It should be up and running before the book officially launches, which is great news.

Any time is better than no time :p

Edit: Is the laptop prize for the first person to finish, or highest score or something? Highest score would be best IMO

Ah but how do you know if the high scorer wouldn't be some adult into playing games rather than Mark's target audience of frighteningly precocious pre-teens? :p

Although there will be a listing of the high scores so players will be able to see who is the best dragonrider(!), it will not necessarily be the highest scorer who will win the first prize. All players who complete the final level of the game before the closing date will be entered into a draw. There will be quite a lot of prizes, but only the first person drawn will win the laptop. I hope this makes sense. There will be ways of earning bonus points ... ah, you'll just have to wait and see! :)

Not too long to wait now.
