Andromeda Strain remake

Oh dear,I just noticed this in a piece of Sky junk mail. Another classic to be butchered?

Certainly probable, but at least it is only a mini-series and some times justice can be done to a story when you have more time to tell it - rather than a piss poor movie adaptation that runs to 84 minutes for example

I'm not a fan of remakes but Stone's point may be valid. I think the Dune miniseries was a good example of something that worked quite well when remade into a miniseries. There were some parts that did not work, but I think these were outweighed by the parts that did.

But back to The Andromeda Strain - one of Crighton's better efforts, and a film I enjoyed.

I'm not sure if there's enough there to merit a miniseries but time will tell I suppose.

Maybe a mini-miniseries. I also agree with Stone, and personally, I enjoyed the Dune remake worlds more than the original flick. I'm all for miniseries.
