Krondor Saga and Serphent

I just read that the Krondor series was set about 10 years after the riftwar saga, and the serphent wars was set 50 years after, yet krondor was written afterwards. Which do I read first?

The Krondor Series is based on the computer games.
Events/items in the games are mentioned in the Serpent War Saga, so you might as well read the Krondor series first.
One of these days (when Ray has finished the entire saga) I will read all the books in a chronological order, rather than in the order they were published.

I agree with Dekket. If you have the Krondor series now, read them before the Serpentwar. But as they are not essential to the plot (I haven't read them myself yet), you may wish to bypass them and go straight on to the Serpentwar.

the serpent war is better and the krondor series connect better with the newer seris (same enemies)

If you have all the books, yes. If you have the Serpentwar but not the Krondor, just bypass them and skip onto the Serpentwar books. You'll find small hints of what happened in the Krondor books, but nothing sufficient to enable you to know exactly what happened

Ok will do that. Already have the Krondor Saga. Plan on reading them before I go on holiday so I can get into the Serpentwar while i'm there.

Im halfway through Prince of the Blood and its set ten years after the Krondor series, should I have read it first? Also when is Kings Bucaneer set? If someone could provide me with a list of books in the order of which they happend (except for legends of riftwar) I would be very grateful.

Kings Buccaneer is set before the Serpent War saga, but after the Krondor Series and the Prince of the Blood.
Teh Kings Buccaneer is the first introduction of the continent of Novinous. I loved seeing a young Calis.

I havn't read the Krondor series yet but already read both Prince of the Blood and The Kings Bucaneer.

The Kings Bucaneer is set 10years after Prince of the Blood.
