That Highlander was written by Garry Kilworth!(Writing under a pseudonym).
I've read a few of his,most notably Abandonati,an excellent book IIRC. Also read Hunter's Moon which is like Watership Down for foxes. There was another notable book of his too but can't remember. Strange thing is I always used to get him mixed up with Michael Bishop!
