An update....

Tad is currently finishing his revisions to Deborah’s (his wife) first draft of The Dragons Of Ordinary Farm, as well as writing Shadowrise (Shadowmarch Book 3). His book with the artist Paul Storey – a short (for Tad) novel based on Wagner’s The Ring Cycle and the Nibelungen tales – will be written in 2008. Tad has recently written an introduction to Gormenghast, the second volume of the Gormenghast trilogy reissued by Overlook Press.

These both sound exciting. I would especially love to read Tad's insights on Gormenghast. I mean, his insights on everything tend to be entertaining, but this subject in particular should be interesting.

Well, just so you know the HB edition of RITE includes non-fiction pieces as well. I only have the TPB edition, so I might try to track down the other in time.

That Overlook edition is yet to come out I think. Should appear shortly on the pulbishing horizon though.

Also the more expensive....:D

If you haven't had a chance to check out Mr Martin's retrospective DreamSongs I urge you to do so. It's really excellent. I believe it's also out now in audiobook.

Thanks for making those updates.

Well, I've somehow overlooked this for 2 months, but Tad has an excerpt from Shadowrise posted on his site. For most authors, I give these a spin, but I like Tad's stuff too much, so I'll wait for the whole thing.....

*leaves back door open for someone to sneak in a report on the quality of the exceprt!*

We have a release target for The Dragons of Ordinary Farm; June, 2009. Since Tad's stuff is fairly well received (or at least discussed!) here, perhaps a new thread for the series is warranted....
