Hi everyone!
I remember reading (back when I was a kid) a short SF story about thoughts running through the electronic brain of a thinking missile prior to the launch against the enemy ship (spaceship, I guess - but can't remember that). It was a mixture of pre-suicidal thoughts about life, death, sense of life and a final and total euphory for the mission which is to be completed... Because the sense of that thinking missile's life was all in that single one-way mission.
(By the way, it sounds sadly like quite a contemporary stuff, doesn't it? )
Anyone else recalls reading that story and what was it's title?
