Help! I'm stuck in the forums!
Black Sun Rising
When True Night Falls
Crown of Shadows

Has anyone read this trilogy by C.S. Friedman? I recall reading it and that I enjoyed it but I don't recall much else about it.

Should I give it another go?

Not familiar with it - but I guess if you've actually read a trilogy but remember little off it then that's not always a good sign!

Have you read through the first few pages yet, just to get an idea of it?

I don't own it any longer. Up until two years ago I lived in apartments and moved almost every year and tried to keep my collection of books down so I usually gave them away or donated them to the local libraries. I'll have to see if my current library has a copy of the first one. I think I will check it out and see...as I said I remember that I enjoyed it, and enough to read all three but quite often I read too many too fast (really? never would have guessed) and don't recall a lot of details.

So, I'll see if I can 'rent' a copy and then I will review it for you.

Good idea! I'm currently bulding a new site template for this site - hopefully ready for the weekend. After that, I can turn my full guns onto building up alternative-worlds.com. :)

I had e-book versions of this trilogy on my now (sob sob) broken nice new computer. I had tryed to read Black Sun Rising but didn't get to far simply due the nature of the medium of reading e-books. I had the same problem with trying to read Lord of The Rings on my computer - staring for hours at a monitor reading a book gives you headaches and blurry vision. Strangely I can't remember much about it either, but thats probably just because I didn't get far.

When is fantasy concept not truly a fantasy concept.?A damned interesting series.(y)

I really enjoyed these books. People who like darker fantasy will gobble this series up.
