Has any one read The Midwich Cuckoo book by John Wyndham. I have watched the movie adaptation Village of the Damned with the late Christopher Reeves. I just want to know if it is any good and can you recommend any other book similar to it.

Thanks :)

It's a very looooong time ago since I read the book, but I remember being enthralled with it, and really enjoying it. That it has stuck with me that long, must say something about how good it was!

I've read the book and seen Village of the Damned, but the books winds hands down. The movie was reasonably well done but for me at least it was not half as good as the book. I'd certainly recommend reading the book and perhaps going on to his other books as well.

Indeed, Wyndham's book is a very good choice; as far as film versions, I'd say the better film adaptation would be that from 1963....

However, as this seems more suited to the General Book Discussion section than here, it will now be moved....

My bad, thank for moving it J.D Worthington. Next time I will take care to post anything about books in the proper place. sure I will give the books mentioned ago.
