Maybe so. They are always talking about how powerful he is even though he doesn't like to admit it. More powerful than Pug maybe?

I kind of enjoyed RoDL, as we see a much larger development of magic then in any of the previous books, and it has definately set up the plot for some good Tomas action finally!

SPOILERS:
AVERT YOUR EYES IF YOU DON"T WANT TO KNOW THESE
LAST CHANCE!

I enjoyed the fact that Miranda died, I never did like her, although I though briefly that one of the members of the Temple of Dala might have given her a soul gate. I suspect that the one Sedreena, or however you spell it, lost is in Belasco's possession. The development of demons also was a plus for me, as before I always though of them as a single class that grew differently based on what they devoured, but we now see it much differently. Aside from the four spelling errors I noticed and a few inconsistancies such as, "the warm spring in novindus", followed a few sentences later by "viewing the grey towers"..... My biggest complaint is the physical size of the Taredhel

What, you don't think a few millenia on alien soil could result in the Taredhel growing a foot taller? A strange new world creating a strange new elven people?

I love the Riftwar novels and the last one has added a lot of new elements to the saga. I am really starting to hate all the errors jumping up along the time line though I think that when your going to write this many books you really have to focus on keeping true to the timeline.

I never noticed errors until the last few books, but now they’re cropping up a fair amount, or maybe my reading skills have improved? Who knows.

In Jimmy the hand at the end the son becomes the baron of Lang's End and then in the other books jimmy meets the son lockleer (sp?) and says nothing about how he saves his dads life, and also how did lockleer age so fast he goes from birth to jimmy’s age in like less than a year? Mental.

I could go on and on, its strange this should put me off reading R.E.F works but it doesn't I have read them all so far and I totally plan on reading the new stuff as it comes out.

I actually cried at the end of this book, I will not post why don't want to spoil it but my god it was harsh all these killings of great characters in the last few books.
