X-rays from sticky-tape...

I don't think I have any bones then! The sticky-tape didn't work for me :(

May depend on the tape...

My guess is 'quiet' varieties will not work...

Um, wild, improbable, hair-raising, but not crazy.

( If it is crazy but works, it ain't crazy...;-)

D'uh, this may be why those repeated 'cold fusion' experiments didn't work-- Wrong brand of duct tape...

Yup, first thing I did was check the date-line...

Ditto: I tend to read from BBC NEWS | News Front Page and some of their stories to get resurrected by "Top Emailed stories" lists (see "Man marries goat" as an example, which was so good at resurrecting it became "news" in its own right)

Anyway - if sellotape generates X-rays, and those who take regular X-ray exposures get counters and limits, how long before we get health warnings on it (especially those in packing/despatch departments)

Needs vacuum......

I checked the small-print, seems you must unwind tape in vacuum...

This, IIRC, acts as an insulator, supports a much higher voltage gradient than in air, must allow the full electric discharge...

A bit like 'bottle' TVs & VDUs have lead-lined screens to stop their electron beam's low-level X-ray production...
