Why do people apostrophise plural's? Is it capital
I heard an absolutely fascinating show on the radio a couple of days ago about research into the private lives of bacteria and what they found there! It really caught my imagination - we have no idea what kind of universe we all contain. Amazing stuff about possible cognitive behaviour, memory and learning, communication and social activity - observations that are so tempting to "anthropomorphise" of course, but if they were describing any other creature you wouldn't hesitate to say "these creatures are thinking on some level". War of the Worlds eat your heart out.
