I have not read RoaDK or SoaBC yet, but I have never seen Calis and Tomas in the same room and I have always wanted to know what thier relationship as Father and Son is like.

They have a good relationship, just a very distant one. Calis always felt he was required elsewhere other than staying in Elvandar. Being Human aswell as Elf played a major role in this i'd imagine.
 
But Tomas is also human, I think Feist may have been afraid to right about a father son relationship.

Yeah but from "Magician" Thomas said that he wanted to go to Elvandar. He only leaves when something affects them directly or the whole nation/world.

But, you do have a good point - does Feist have bad experiences with father/son relationships?
 
They have a more pronounced relationship in the later books; won't spoil it!
