Compassion? DG, if she was given half the chance, she would have probably made elections illegal to those who aren't die-hard evangelist Christians.
Palin should NEVER go beyond the boundries of her state, and I pity the people she tends to.
I try to have compassion for everyone, because it is entirely possible that in my current, former, or future lives if I have those, then I likely have done at least what they have done if not worse. Statistically speaking, of the whole entire universe and all the possibilities that could or could not occur with my immortal or non-existent soul, that seems the best route to take.
So, what other possibilities are there? Why would people be compassionate, or not compassionate? Why do we feel sorry for one person, and despise another? Morality? Impact on our lives? Image? Social status?
I think it would help for character development, is why. Its easy to think of reasons to hate someone, but harder to think of reasons to be compassionate towards someone.
