Oh the bleeding from the hands thing? It's just al
I don't know if there is a thread for this already, and I did look briefly. Anyway, write a few sentances about what you feel is your best/favorite character.

I'll go first to start things off.

Cylis Howel aka Cylis Nightshade

Blinded by a curse of the Gods, for killing his father, the Angel Iaoel. Found near dead in the woods of Osturaht by one of the last Druid clans, they take him in, teaching him to see without seeing, name him Brother, and Nightshade, for all that he see's is dark. To quickly he realizes the second half of the curse, immortality. He watches his brethren die, while he lives agelessly. Three hundred years pass, and times have changed, he falls to a dark life, taking jobs as an assassin.

He is actually a secondary character, and for more complicated.

This is going to be hard to do for several reasons: 1) It's hard to sum up characters in only a few sentences, and 2) it's even harder to pick favorites.

Tarlia Ruthford

Tarlia is one of a race with the ability to convert faith and devotion from other beings into longevity and other supernatural powers, a gift which has earned her kind the title of "gods" even though they are hardly such.

In a world ravaged by darkness and ruin, Tarlia lives in a manor overlooking a small town of people, removed by her powers from the rest of the world to protect it. When a group of outsiders unwittingly show up, followed by a pack of undead for the townsfolk to contend with, it becomes apparent that her spell is weakening, and that the town is beginning to reenter a hostile world. Although she'd prefer to live in her little dreamworld, free from conflict, she realizes she can't hide herself and her town from harm's way forever. She is a modest person with no desire for status or (in this case) godhood, so the limited faith power she receives from the townsfolk is more from adoration than worship.

Like above, this character is a lot more complicated than this, but I'm trying to keep it short; the reason this character is awesome (in my opinion) needs a lot more than just a few sentences.

Edit: Also like above, she is a secondary character.

Actually, the "outsiders" (one of which is one of the main characters) will somehow stumble upon this town in some way or another. The undead (which inhabit most of the continent) just so happen to be stalking said "outsiders" when they find it.

I don't really want to derail this thread though, so I'll leave it at that.
