Hi,
More help needed, if any one can....

A long, long time ago in a distant library . . .
I started reading a series whose main charater was called 'Casca', who was the roman legonnaire who poker JC on the cross with a spear. Some blood got into the soldiers wound and he was cursed to walk the earth till he overcame his waring nature.

The series follows the character through time and various 'adventures'

Ring any bells???

Brilliant! Thanks!,
I think I only read five or so, and not in sequence..

I enjoyed these as a kid (kinda boys own, that sort of thing).
They'd probably seem juvenile now.

Thanks again.

Not a problem - happy to oblige.

You may be surprised at the price they command these days, though...the cheapest on Amazon is $33.25, and a Good - Used one is an eye-watering $598.78...

COAB! They were amusing and an enjoyable way to while away a Sunday arvo, NOT the third testament.

Salve, Tribunus pyan!

"The Eternal Mercenary" looks to be just that. Casca has become a francise, and though original author Barry Sadler died in 1989, finishing at Vol 22, Casca goes on.
Paul Dengelegi wrote Vols 23 & 24 and now Tony Roberts is continuing the saga. He's up to Vol 27 currently ( we're now in the US Civil War) and has more planned
