If anyone wants to get copies early, then the only place you will be able to get them this side of the New Year is my local shop - The Games Vault in Daventry. You can order them now and they will be despatched in time for Christmas. I do only have limited numbers of copies before Christmas, though. The book isn't officially launched until January and I've had special dispensation to do an event in my hometown, for which I've stocked the shop.

The telephone number for anyone interested in getting hold of one is: 01327 310541. You can order by card over the phone. Those who have already paid for pre-order copies will be getting them next week. :)

I've nearly finished it. Although, once again it is a masterpiece of writing Mark, I still definitely prefer the Imperial Trilogy. I'll update when I finish it, but so far, I'm really enjoying it.

Finished a week ago, but forgot to post.

It's a very good book Mark, but I hope you decide to go back to writing about Calvyn or Reynik etc. If I'm honest, they suit you better.

It was my first instinct to write the traditional swords and sorcery books, Threddy, so you may be right - they may suit me better. It's hard for me to know, as I'm close to both worlds now. I've just read the page proofs of Longfang and was genuinely surprised to find that I could really appreciate how far my writing has progressed over the past few years. Those who have followed my work from its early days are bound to feel nostalgic about the first series, but while the characters are very special to me, what jumps out at me from those books whenever I open them are the flaws in the writing!

Longfang is more gory than the previous two books. I would say the content is more at a level with the Imperial Series, though the length is the same as the other two Dragon Orb books. I've recently had lengthy discussions with my publishers and as a result of several factors have agreed there will be no age ranging number on the back of Longfang or Aurora. At present 9+ is printed on the back of Firestorm and Shadow. The age ranging number will also be removed from all future print runs of Firestorm and Shadow.
