Many years ago I read a novel that has stuck will me. In the novel the all of the adults wake up one morning with collective unconscious and begin killing off all of their children. I believe the title has the word blood in it, and i have no idea who the author is. The hero is a young man and he gathers and protects a group of children. It ends with the children beginning to procreate.
