My eldest has suggested I put this in YA as she really enjoyed the stories. She has been reading them at school, borrowing from the library and will probably get one from me for her birthday! :)

This year she wrote two fantasy novels, The Key To Rondo and The Wizard of Rondo. Staff at my favourite bookshop said she was a popular author and often had to order in some of the older books.

It is a TRE-MENDOUS series. It will keep you on the hook for the entire thing. There's 3 parts to the entire story. The first one, is based in the land of Deltora itself. The second in the underworld of Deltora and into the lands of the Shadowlord.

It's kind of like "I go to your territory, now it's your turn to come to mine" kind of deal.
That was all well and true, a few people almost die in those two parts, 11 books in total.

Here's the major scoop, the last one was based in Deltora again, with the lost history of Deltora, the major plot of the Shadowlord and the heroic victory of Lief. The ending was so good, I like, was so hyped up, because the ending was so graceful and honourable, all matters with friendship resolved and everything !

Pick it up, read the first book. You will be hooked, I guaruntee you.

Perhaps I should borrow them from my Granddaughter! They certainly sound interesting, Eric.

I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed them that much :)

It is quite thrilling indeed. Quite an intersting storyline that will keep you reading book after book. There's even a hint of romance and drama in there, a story of friendship and companionship, trusting others and having them place their trust in you.

It is a great starter for fantasy readers, this is actually how I started out reading fantasy. I hope your grand daughter likes it :)
