Back in the seventies they used to show a 25-minute version of Dickens's "A Christmas Carol", directed by Richard Williams and with Arthur Sim's voice reprising his role of Scrooge from the B&W fifties film. A lot of it was done in an etching/woodcut style, it was scary and beautiful and moving and absolutely brilliant - and I haven't seen it on TV for about 30 years! Does anyone else remember this? (I think it might have got more recent air-time in the States)

After loads of searching I eventually got a copy on DVD off ebay, and it was just as good as I remembered. This short animation pretty much was my childhood Christmas, including the terror of Marley's ghost.

Ive seen this one a few time in my life and love the animation style and gothic look :)

Every Christmas I watch a version of a Christmas Carol, last Christmas it was Scrooged, maybe this is the version for next time.

Ooh, one of my first threads!

I've watched this every Christmas since, and it never gets old. Ironically.

I always felt bad for poor Jacob Marley.:(

I've never seen it, but it looks good. I'll have to sit back and watch the embedded video when I get a chance.
