So! For anyone thats ever played Lords Of Westeros, out of the brilliant mind of it's Admin comes a new RP.
Western Island City, or The Wick. A crime-Rp cleverly reshaping the characters and places of Westeros.
The Setting would be the Underworld of a city. The city would be called Western Island City, but all the natives call it "the Wick". It is spread over three islands, and a little bit of the mainland, and is connected to the mainland by many tunnels and bridges.
The leader of the Wick's underworld, is man named Robert "King" Deere. When he was younger he was a deadly button man, and with his close allies rebelled against the Dragon Yakuza that was ruling the city, and conquered the underworld himself. Deere's territory is the Downtown and Center Square areas of the City. He controls the city government, and the corrupt cops.
His strongest ally is a man called Stravos Wulvenov. A tall, grey man from the Ukraine, his family controls the North End, the North End is made up of factories, warehouses, and some of the commercial piers. Even though it is the largest territory it is the least populated, but since most of the Wulvenov family are ex-Soviet military they are still wicked tough.
The King's second strongest ally, was a man named Giovani Valenti. He has recently passed though, and his young son Roberto has taken the families reins. Many feel he listens to his mother far too much, but you know Italian boys and their mothers. The Valenti family controls the Heights of Western Island, which is where most of the middle to upper class live in the city.
Tzuriel "Lion" Landauer controls the Finical District with an iron grip. The Chairman of the Golden Lion trading company, Landuer exerts control over both legal and illegal activities. His son Jacob runs his army of button men, and he will let no one stand in his father's way. The Landauer family sat out the last war, and were quick to join with Deere in victory. His daughter Chava married, Robert Deere.
The Black Docks of the Wick are controlled by Robert's two brothers; Stanley, and Renford. Stanley controls the piers, and Renford controls the warehouses, and gambling dens. The two brothers constantly bicker about what is their due, with one doing far more of the grumbling then the other.
The West Canal area is controlled by the O'Tullys. Henry O'Tully is getting quite old, and his son Eddie has been taking on more and more of the responsibility. The Canal district is the home of Little Ireland, and the best St. Paddy parade in this part of the country. It also touches almost every other district in the city.
The Dirt Garden is the largest district in the city. It consists of mostly low income housing, tennaments and row houses. And all of this land is controlled by Mack Tyrone. Mack's gang is called the Flowers, a play on the name of the district. He has the most muscle, but also the wisdom to know he can not stand alone against the rest of the city. Also he knows because of the prejudices of the other bosses, (they don't want a brother in charge of anything) it will be difficult to rule the whole city.
Donato Martinez rules the smaller island of Sunrise Island like it is his own personal Fiefdom. Martinez's crew never worked for the Dragon's, but fell in line with Deere, after Robert made them a very sweet offer. As such he has more power then any of the other families, but his gang and Territory are restricted by the small size of Sunrise Island. He has always looked to expand into the Garden, but has been rebuffed time and again by Tyrone.
Steel Mill Island is the last of the islands. The Steel mill was closed thirty years ago, and with nothing to fuel the island's economy the standard of living has declined radically. It is a hard place to live. The Eight Arm Triad runs this island with an iron grip. Gweng Bai is the current leader of the Triad, and he hates Robert with a blazing hate that is almost unmatched. He was the first and last to test Deere's control, him and his gang were roughly put down.
While most of the WICPD are corrupt and under the thumb of Deere, there is a small and growing movement among their organization. Men who are feed up with the corruption and greed and want to help their city become a good place to live again. These men have begun to resort to Vigilante Justice to achieve their goals, and have begun to wear Black masks on their faces, and a black strip of cloth over their badge numbers. The Black Watch, as some call them, are beginning to annoy the King of the city.
The Dragon Yakuza resides still across the state border waiting and plotting their return to power in Wick
