Do you know what REALLY peeved me off about Deep Space Nine, its final episode!

I love all Star Treks, and DS9 is probably my favorite series off all time but I really got angry with the final episode... well one thing about it in particular.

Why does NO ONE remember Jadzia Dax when they are reminiscing, not even her husband Wharf recalls anything about her, not there wedding day, nothing. :mad:
Yet he remembers Esre, who he slept with once and was with the crew for what, 8 months max, and had what one little excursion with him?

This really got my goat up with the finale. How could the writers make such a grand oversight, it left fans like me extreemly dissopointed and ruined the whole conclusion of the series!

I know I wondered why they replaced Dax with an elf too, I found this from official Star Trek forums;

Terry played "Jadzia Dax" on "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine." Terry is also co-starring in the CBS series "Becker" with Ted Danson. Question: You were my favorite character on DS9. What made you decide to leave the show? Do you regret it in any way? What do you think of Ezri's character? Soban Terry Farrell: Well first off, I haven't seen the show since the beginning of the season. I don't know the Ezri character. It was a very difficult decision to leave the show but my contract of 6 years was up and I felt in my heart that I was ready to move on for creative reasons. I went through many struggles over the decision but I knew something different, more challenging was out there for me. And so I hope you understand that it was a career decision for me and I will always love the character of Dax and treasure the time I spent with her. And now, I have Reggie, so I'll never know if I would have missed the 7th season, because I'm very happy hanging with Ted Danson.

Even if she did get on thier bad side, leaving out her input to the series was a big error in judgement, it is dismissing her contribution to DS9... or was it monetary I wonder, they would have to pay her to use her image again in the new series....

I'm guessing like me you watched it last night on Bravo(or Virgin?), one of my fav episodes, especially the final battle with the dominion.
I Much prefered Jadzia over Ezri and i agree, she was probably left out over money, shame really

I remember hearing somewhere that Terry Farrell hadn't given permission for her image to be used in the last episode. I don't have a source on that one, but it makes sense that she had some issue with them.

I think the decision to exclude her was a poor move. Jadzia Dax was a popular main character on DS9 for 6 years, but fans were cheated by not being able to reminisce about her in that last episode which should have summed up the entire show.

Jadzia has always been one of my favorite characters on DS9, but I just watch the reruns and don't worry about the last episode.

Can anyone remember how Jadzia died, for some reason i thought see got injured fighting Klingons, but it's been a while and i'm simply not sure?

Yeah I watched it again on Virgin one or Bravo, I own all Star Treks but still end up watching all the re-runs... lol

Jadzia died when she went to the Bajoran shrine to thank the profits for the chance to have a baby with Wharf (Trill and Klingon's find it hard to reproduce) Gul Dukat was there and had a Pah Wraith inside him and he/it killed Jadzia because she got in the way of the Orb which it wanted for access to the Celestial Temple.
