What would happen if an Ashaman bonded an Aes Sedai and was Warder bonded in turn? I suspect that "back in the day" this was the proper order of things; though I would imagine the male's ability to strictly command/control the female would have been a function of their combat role (making sure that she did not come to harm by forcing her behind him when something bad was about to happen). I say this because males can sense both Saidin and Saidar being channeled without weaves and this would mean they are more likely to sense impending attack (and saidin is the half of the power most concerned with force or attack).

This leaves the questions of: why does Warder bonding allow "control" over normal males & what role would the female Aes Sedai have had in the above relationship model? Could the increased finesse and control inherent to Saidar have meant that the female Aes Sedai headed the "diplomatic arm" of the order? But then the Ajahs predate the splitting up of Aes Sedai, and so obviously some females had to specialize in hunting down taint. If you had both members of the pair as green ajah, then what roles would they perform for each other?

In the future book will Green Ajah really like the fact that Ashaman can blow up stuff well (as well as sword fight with the best of them) and that they can use each other to blow up stuff even better? Or do you think that the Red Ajah will come to dominate the initial relationship between Aes Sedai and Ashaman?

"I suspect that "back in the day" this was the proper order of things"
i have a thing to say about this part in the age of legends aes sedai male and female didn't bond warders nor did they bond each other although i was wondering the same thing if an asha'man bonded an aes sedai could an aes sedai bond the asha'man as well so would there be a double bond???

and would that make the asha'man and/or aes sedai extreamly strong in the one power seeing as they can draw strength from there warder or would they just be able to channel saidar/saidin for a longer amount of time

also what would happen if an asha'man bonded an asha'man or an aes sedai and another aes sedai would it be like linking or in a sense using the other person as an angreal?? if that works that way couldn't rand therefore bond like 500 asha'man and use the sa'angreals he has to kill the dark one??

just my thoughts

sorry i forgot something i don't think compulsion was always a thing with bonding warder for males i think that was how Taim tought it although they were probably the first male channelers to bond people aes sedai and just regular women alike

I thought bonding was a discovery since the breaking. When one of the the forsaken (cant rember which), was torturing an Aes Sedai and her warder didnt she remark that it was interesting what they had learnt but also what they had forgotten?

I thought bonding only happened after the breaking, too. I like the idea of the double bond, that could be interesting.

One thing I keep wondering about (not to do with Aes Sedai really, sorry, but I really want to know what other people are thinking about this) is the villages that are mentioned in Shara full of men and women who can channel. Meaning, presumably, that the ability to channel hasn't got weaker over the generations, because they keep the men that can channel alive long enough to father more channellers. And Shara generally, I think, has got to play a bigger part in there somewhere, or why bother mentioning it so often?

I'm getting really impatient for the next installment, I'm so excited! I feel like a WOT junkie and I need my fix, damn it!

Oh, and maybe the double bond would give the Aes Sedai to sense a man channelling, due to the closer connection to saidin? And what would to a Warder if his Aes Sedai is leashed? If he's not killed trying to defend her, obviously.
