BBC Radio 4 are broadcasting a series of four half-hour plays at 11pm on Tuesdays called "Weird Tales," which are supposed to be inspired by, or based on (can't remember which they said) stories by Lovecraft, and are introduced by a character playing Lovecraft. They're quite good - last night's, about a strange skeleton-guarded stone found buried a hundred feet below London during late nineteenth-century (I think?) diggings for a new Underground line, was pretty creepy. Does anyone who's listened to them know what stories they might have been based on or inspired by?
