The Ace of Asuses (Is There Such a Word???)

I am a busy person. I have two deadlines, one novel getting pushed around various houses, one new novel in the works, and not as much free time as I would like.

Still...

I went Asus Crazy... They keep showing up for Really Cheap Prices, and my coffers being freer than they used to, I find myself joyfully collecting them.

At this point, I have my original 701, a 1000HD, a 900A and now a 900HD.

The 900A was the only one giving me trouble. Xandros turned out too bland for my taste. Advance Mode killed software (the wordprocessor refused to work at all in Advance Mode, though if I toggled back to Easy Mode, it worked fine--go figure).

So in the end, I resorted to Ubuntu eee (now Easy Peasy), and in the beginning, it was having problems too. I eventually figured out that maybe I had done Too Much Tweaking of the software, so I reloaded it, did a few minor but much needed tweaks, and voila, it works!

So now I have a perfectly good Linux machine competing with the three XP machines for my time and attention.

And writing to do...lots of writing.

So I apologize if I have not been out here much.

Life gets busy.

And Before I Forget...

The City Under the Bridgeshould be forthcoming from Wolfsinger Publications in a few months here. Anwyn Baldomyre finds himself trying to solve the mystery of the Water Lady who is drowning men in the city of Stonegorge--an entire city built under the bridge. But of course, there are other problems too. The river is rising more and more and threatening those who make their living in the lowest levels, while the master and mistress of Stonegorge seem more interested in their own baubles and desires...

Can Anwyn save the people in the Depths from the dire creature that plagues them???
