i 'd like to share my reading experience with you guys. :):)

i was starting to read graphic novels seriously since three weeks ago. it's all due to a graphic novel called: WALTZ WITH BASHIR.

the animated film is also the winner of the best foreigner film of the golden global award and the nominator of the Oscar award. it's only one step away towards the best foreigner film of oscar.

before i read another graphic novels that adapted to the film called PERSEPOLIS. it's funny and the storyline is perfectly attractive. but WALTA WITH BASHIR did just as well as PERSEPOLIS and even better in the aspect of art design.

i like watching movie more than reading books. so i realized that there's so many goods that i have not discovered yet.for example, i like johnny depp, so i saw FROM HELL, but i don't like it. i heard the comic is far better than that. i like playing video games, i read a graphic novel called DEAD SPACE because of that which it's a truly phenomenon(for both game and novel). then i gradually discovered other comics of Ben Templesmith. after reading WELCOME TO HOXFORD AND WORMHOOD V.1, i got sick of his style. the storytellings were weak and the monsters and main characters were similar to each other through the whole books i'd read. after all, disappointment> excitement

i decided to give a shot to the japanese manga. then i was so luck to pick up the books of yoshihito tatsumi in the library nearby. maybe his name is not familiar with your guys, but for his works, i could say nobody got the same level as he reached. for his three english translated short graphic novel collections, PUSH MAN, GOOD-BYE and ABANDON THE OLD IN TOKYO, there's no superheros, no exordinary abilities within. instead of the ordinary people like you and me. he described the life of the low class level people. there were officer, street cleaner, jobless adults and so on. i was shocked by those realistic affairs.

i also read a short GN collection called FLIGHT V.2 by chance. but i found it's mostly like for child not for armature reader after reading first several stories.

i am reading V for Vendetta right now. i'd noticed blanket before. but i more like the graphic novels which full of darkness and monsters.
