Which movie of Jim Carrey have you loved so far……………..
I like him in Bruce almighty and Yes man!!

The only Carrey film in my library is "Mask" although "The Truman Show" was one of his best (and showed that he actually can act instead of being only a clown).

Enjoy!

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is my fav Carrey film. I like The Truman Show, and Bruce Almighty, and Peggy Sue got Married -althoughi nt he last one he just had a bit part.

The Mask has always been my favorite of his movies, by far. I do like most of his work though.

The Cable Guy is my least favorite because it is so creepy. I don't remember if I even sat through the whole movie. Shadow Trooper, it's been a few years and I don't remember a Star Trek reference (or much else about it for that matter). I take it this movie could be worth a re-watch?

On the subject of Star Trek, I love Jim Carrey's In Living Color impersonation of Captain Kirk. Actually most of what he did on In Living Color was funny. :)

I originally thought mmmmm I don't really like Jim Carey but then a couple sprang to mind.
Truman Show - how different was this and Carey was very very good.
Eternal Sunshine etc etc was a very odd movie but I really enjoyed it and part of that was because of Jim Carey
Finally a movie I really loved:
The Majestic! A very sweet perhaps a bit soppy but beautiful movie.

Can't believe no one has mentioned good old Ace Ventura.

Sorry for late reply. It was where the pair of them (Carey and Broderick) go to a Medieval Night. Carey's character knows one of the organizers so arranges for him and Broderick to have a Medieval fight in the arena.

Cue Star Trek fight scene music and pon'far acting from Carey. Broderick looked sufficiently scared to make it a laughable scene (maybe he really was scared! :p).

Re: Loved him……

The Mask, need to watch it again, been ages since I saw that one!
Ace Ventura
Cable Guy
The Truman Show
Bruce Almighty
Liar Liar
Number 23
Yes Man
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was utter pants. Turned it off part way thru. He needs to stick to comedies!
But did you know that possibly his first role was as a rock star in a Clint Eastwood Dirty Harry film?(The Dead Pool i think)
He wasn't in it for long, was found dead near the start!

Ace Ventura was the first time i saw him. I thought he was good in Dumb and Dumber (It's a guy thing. I also though that the casting for Dumb and Dumberer was inspired.)

I really enjoyed the Truman Show. I've yet to see the Number 23, but i've read that he plays a very good serious role. Looking forward to that.

Maybe it is a guy thing, I don't know. I always thought Dumb and Dumber was just, well, dumb. The Ace Venturas were great though. I don't know why I didn't think of them sooner. Maybe its time for a rewatch on those too. :)
