EXCLUSIVE: An Audience with Dave Prowse
30-06-2009
7pm – 9.30pm [includes 15 minute interval]
The Pod, South East Essex College, Southend-on-Sea
£5.00*
*(all proceeds to go to Dave Prowse’s chosen charity: the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in Sutton, Surrey)
Best known for his role as the Green Cross Code Man and Star Wars villain Darth Vader, one of the most notorious screen villains in cinema history, Dave Prowse has certainly lived a fascinating life. Exclusively for Southend Festival Seven, the actor will be sharing anecdotes about his life and career from his early days as a bodybuilder to receiving an MBE from the Queen. There will also be a Q and A.
Dave recently made public his battle with prostate cancer and has asked that all proceeds from this event go to the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in Sutton, Surrey, where he is being treated.
Local star, Mike Edmonds, who played the Ewok Logray in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and starred in Time Bandits, will also be in attendance subject to his availability.
Only 250 tickets will be made available for this one-off event, so we advise you to book early to avoid disappointment. Tickets can be purchased in the following ways:
By Phone Card payments can be made over the phone by calling Call 01702 220400. Please note we do not accept American Express.
