Question for More Informed Readers

Just wondering, are there any YA authors who employ a more experimental literary style to their writing, like James Joyce or Cormac McCarthy?

My YA reading has been limited to Rowling, Stroud, and Lewis.

Try Exodus by Julie Bertagna - you can find out more on her author board here. It's written in 3rd person present, which I found most unusual, but strangely fitting.
