Some spoilers ahead if you haven't read all the books.

I recently just finished reading all of Erikson's and Esselmont's books in one fell swoop. I loved them, but my confusion kept growing and I found myself frantically looking up characters or incidences I had forgotten about. So, I decided to reread them while the questions were still fresh.
It's so much better the second time around. I finished Night of Knives and just started Deadhouse Gates. No more scrabbling to the list of characters, or refering to the maps. Though I'm still uncertain how the Warrens function, I am at least a bit familiar with their denizens and attributes.
Second time around is very rewarding. My only hesitation is that some of the deaths are still a little raw in my mind and it will be hard to relive them so soon. It took me from March to June to read them the first time. I figure I'll be done the reread just in time for Dust of Dreams.
