Been watching Birds Of Prey on DVD. I really wanted to like this.
So, what went wrong?…..poor storylines – and here’s a glaring example …..Huntress visits a villain in Arkham Asylum to get info but must give away parts of herself. My turn, your turn. Criminal gives a small clue etc. etc.
Now, let’s skip back a few years, Quid pro quo, Clarice……. Silence of the Lambs anyone? This scene was just too similar for my liking.
So, what else went wrong? Not one decent storyline. Ho hum directing, predictable fight scenes, unimaginative camera work, very predictable and shallow characters.
This could have been so much better but tried too hard to be another Buffy.
The best way I’d describe this series is like making a loaf of bread but forgetting the yeast.
Something essential is missing.
On a brighter note, the extras carried all 30 episodes of Gotham Girls. Worth getting just for this series of funnies
