nice piece, Theleb. I particularly liked how each name was so different from the other that it was almost (almost ) impossible to get confused.

This line felt a little overdone: "like a steel-prowed ship forging through a darkly boiling sea."

But this is probably my favourite line: "Within the gateway shadows moved and strange lights danced." Lovely rhythm, perfect words, and redolent of foreboding. Loved it.

Nice build of tension and well described. A worthy publication, buddy. Well done.

Thanks guys, I'm glad it's gone down ok. I don't know if you had a look at the James Lecky story as well? If not, I suggest you do so. I think this guy is outstanding...
