I've just caught this on BBC News and don't know the full details,
But it seems they have discovered a dark spot on Jupiter, and I'm wondering if this is a new event or a leftover of the comet crash in the late 90s.

The cool thing was, it was first spotted by an amateur astronomer from Murrumbateman, which is just near Canberra, where I used to live.

It's a new event. It might have been just normal weather, Jupiter storms can take on a black spot appearance. But now they have looking at it with IR, the heat of a impact has been detected.

Oh, and kids, remember this. You think you might have problems with acne, Jupiter's latest spot is the size of the Pacific.
