im about halfway through Hunting Party and while it isnt the best book ive read, it passes the time quite nicely.Im just wondering how the rest of the serrano books are - and what the general feeling about the quality of her work and if it is worth reading the rest of the series.

I don't like her SF books allt that much, she's a bit uneven...
some good books, some not so good. If you're not to posh to
read fantasy however, her Paksenarrion series is one of my
favourite fantasy series.

I agree with aurora. The Deed of Paksenarrion was one of the best fantasy trilogies I've ever read. Her Sci/Fi is OK, but just OK. I've read the first four of the Serrano series, but could have stopped after two. They are all much of a muchness.

Elizabeth has also written a prequel or two to The Deed of Paksenarrion, but these didn't seem to have the energy of the original series. The three books in sequence of hers that I would recommend are:

Sheepfarmer's Daughter
Divided Allegiance
Oath of Gold
