Okay, this game pretty simple. The person above you posts a scientific breakthrough and you figure out what other breakthroughs/inventions can come from it.


To start; a new way of obtaining Stem Cells that doesn't carry the stigma of the current method.

For some of us the current way of collecting embryonic stem cells is perfectly acceptable, and indeed, not in need of a replacement method.


A new start; scientists have finally come to the crossroads, and they can create life from scratch in the confines of a research lab.

The unmoveable truth has been proven wrong, and we can now assert that under the right circumstances, death + death = Life.

There are already way too many people on the planet so we develop a method of using stems cells to neutralise the rise in population without the need to give birth, by creating a stem cell ray gun. No pain. Nobody gets hurt, and it simultaneously blocks out the memory of anyone who knew them, so nobody gets emotionally hurt.

Robots with cameras - armed with face recognition databases of all humans. (You provide the details of how they manage to maintain snapshots of everyone).

So, if we're in robotic times, and they're armed with cameras, then the camera can be a dianostic tool (X-ray, Ion emission, atomic dispersal) etc, and yopu get a printout telling you what treatment you need. Doctors will no longer exist.... Funny how I've drifted it back to medical, from whence it started...

The International news service announced today at 8:58 a.m. that a new component will be added to the Immunization programme currently residing on all "med-bots". The rationale for the programme update was given that because of the maturation of society in the last 3 centuries, there has been a continuos decline in crime (recent figures indicate less than 3 crimes per billion humans per decade) , court proceedings (less than 2 proceedings per century involving humans), and the subsequent lack of need for lawyers, police and human rulers and/or legislators.

Since med-bots are capable of isolating specific genes on any locale in the chromosomes forming DNA chains, they will be able to "assist" in the formation of the initial zygote in human females during the final stages of fertilization undergone in the ovum prior to the zygote's evolvement. The targeted genes will include various "trait" genes found most commonly in persons who are pre-disposed to seek positions of power, or exhibit desires to control masses of the population.

The news has been received with mixed reactions throughout Earth's interplanetary settlements and outposts (including "off-worlders"). Some believe that this is a dangerous and risk laden step toward robotic control in general, and it should be stopped immediately before a trend in control of human genes by machines is developed.

In an initial poll, it was found that 72% of the opponents of the medical programme update were members of the international councils, and lawmakers. The other 28 percent could be broken down into 17% corporation owners, 5 % managers within corporations, and 5% different sections of the population with a 3% error margin.

In order to fight against this new development the councils, lawmakers, corporations, and so on decided to bring forth there own creation to counteract what was going on. This being the revival of the 'Virus' program of old; with new meaning and coding to ensure the survival of 'The Achiever'. In order to 'Infect' the med-bots with the programming, would be tricky but doable. The process involved creating a 'cyborg' that had the programming installed that would be sent out and 'Looked over' by the med-bot, in doing so the program would then be uploaded to the med-bot and transfered to the next bot it contacted to send the information off, Thus transfering the virus successfully to be spread to all other bots....the catch being that if the 'Mother-bot' found the 'cyborg' before the appointed time it along with the ones that created it would be irradicated. This 'Virus' would (if successful) take over all the bots and convert control into 'The Achievers' hands.
