hood (spoiler seriously)

So Hoods dead....
How does this effect his realm?
And what is going on with the huge armies marching in hoods realm? Are they marching against chaos? The ritual on the cart inside dragnipur, what exactly did it do? I'm not pretending to understand everything that happens in these books but toll the hounds is throwing me for a loop. I finished my second reread and this series is so unbelievable deep and rewarding but do I really want to take notes? This is the first time I've had to.

The short answer is - Who Knows?
As to the armies marching in Hood's realm, they were attempting to hold back chaos enough for Rake to do what needed to be done, i.e bring back mother dark.
As usual with Erikson you have to read on, theres a few references and appearences of some characters in Dust of Dreasm, i won't say more in case you have'nt readit , if you haven't then your in for a cracker, its up there with the best imo. enjoy
