Who and what is the one eyed creature in W1?

Hi. in Waylander I, Dakeyras encounteres a one eyed creature. I am still unsure what or who that was, so i want to ask you guys if you have any good guesses of what it might be. It might remain a mystery for all of us, but just give me your thoughts on it.

The armour of Orrin was hidden in a cave in the Nadir Stepps which was filled with mutated creatures, there are tales of Nadir children who are born with deformities who are left on the mountainside to die some survive, I think Kai(the one eyed creature) was one of them

I agree with sanity assasin. I think it is very similiar to the Spartans in
300. But Kai had healing powers so I am not sure how he had got them.

I assumed the extreme mutations were due to (say) water or something flowing from or near that place in the Mountains of the Moon with the crystal warping everything.

Not entirely sure what it was. It's obviously a very long lived creature as it says that a tribe of set up a viallage at the mountain and in "a short time" the youngest of these grew to be very old and wrinkled. Even the plants (trees) grew very quickly. It's a shame DG didn't expand more on Kai.
