I was very good about not whining that I would not receive ADWD this year. Thanks for playing the pilot casting game with us, "not blogging", and writing us more stories.


I will give extra milk and cookies, though, if you would:

1. Gift wrap Jaime and leave him under my tree. I don't want to be good next year.

2. Alternatively, it would be nice to have a calendar, a replica of Needle and some figurines.

3. Tell us that ADWD is done.

Dear Santa Martin,

You have already given me so many things that I have loved - the first four wonderful installments of aSoIaF, the Dunk and Egg novellas, Fevre Dream, and more - that I'm not asking you for anything. In fact, I reckon WE owe YOU much much more than we could ever give you. So I ask nothing of you this festive season, besides that you have yourself a merry little Christmas, indulge a bit, spend time with loved ones, and have a break from writing, if you need it. Mind you, I won't complain if you don't, but, hey, no rush, alright? We'll get it when we get it. Next year, the year after. I'll still be waiting, as will your true fans.
