I was thinking about the other thread about a Chronicles award, frankly I do not read new books all that often and I don't believe most books will be read enough to get a true vote.
But I think it would be also good to have a Chronicles HOF
I am not sure if this is any good, or if it has been done too much such that it will just be repeating a list that has already been done or not.
But at least this is something more people will have read the books rather than a new book award (but that is still a good idea to do as it may give us some books to read, but for me at least I know I won't be much able to vote for new books since I don't read them until they have been around long enough for them to be already given other awards such as the Hugo etc...)
But with a HOF it could be like the Rock and Roll HOF somewhat where the big guys can be elected right off but every so often some others are added to the list.
What do you think?
We can straight off put in Lord of The Rings and Dune, maybe a couple others as 'Grand-Chronicle HOF of all time books'
then we can have other categories like "Epic Fantasy", "Swords and Sorcery", "Space-ships", "Monsters/Horror" etc..
