(Probably Found) Trying to remember a fantasy book

I have posted before with no luck to date. I am desperately trying to remember a fantasy book. The book starts with a prince riding in a forest he falls off his horse over a cliff and is saved by his horse pulling him up

Meanwhile in the city his parents rule they are taken by surprise by an invasion force who enter thr throne room kill the king and throws the queen out of the window to the soldiers below

Before the daughter can be killed the kings wizard manages to edge close to the girl and uses his last power to transport them out of the castle


Does anyone have any idea what I am rambling about

I'm sorry, but I had to remove your other thread asking the same question, because a) it was in the wrong place, and b) we don't allow duplicate threads spread out across different sub-forums. It can make for a lot of confusion (people go back to the wrong thread and wonder what happened to their posts, for example). You're likely to get more replies in this thread anyway.

The book doesn't sound familiar to me, but I hope that somebody else will recognize.

I think it might be "The Fifth Sorceress", book one of the "Scrolls of the Ancients" series. Can't find my copy of the first book though.

I believe yodachan is correct, according to the synopsis, The Fifth Sorceress sounds like the right book. Here is the link:

I was going to say that sounds like the opening sequence to many a fantasy novel and ask for more information, but it appears the chronites have still managed to find it for you.
